My Background

As a former professional athlete, I know firsthand both the unique struggles that athletes face and the mentality it takes to perform consistently at the top of your game. I have over 11 years of experience working with athletes in various roles, starting as a coach, and then returning to school to become a therapist and mental performance consultant.

I am a licensed psychotherapist in the state of Tennessee (LPC-MHSPt), and I have a Doctorate in Sport & Performance Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I have competed in several different sports, including cycling, rowing, track & field and cross-country, and softball. I love working with athletes of all different sports, but I have a special understanding of the particular demands that endurance athletes face.

I am a proud LGBTQ+ ally and my practice is a nonjudgmental, supportive space for all.

My Approach

My approach to sport and performance psychology is grounded in helping athletes find and understand their “why,” and giving them tools to stay in the present moment and regulate their emotions through all of the ups and downs of sport. I work collaboratively with my athletes to help them understand and sort through their feelings and needs. We’ll set goals together, and I’ll support you with compassion and understanding throughout the process.
